Caseloads

What are the recommended caseload sizes for CBC Case Managers; number of cases vs. number of children? ANSWER

What are the recommended caseload sizes for Adoption Workers? ANSWER

Confidentiality/Information-Sharing

Can a child placing agency share their Abuse Hotline checks with another agency?  ANSWER

Can an applicant for licensure and/or adoptive placement review their Florida Abuse History results (reporter information excluded)? ANSWER

Can a child placing agency share their background screening information -- local law, FDLE and FBI clearances -- to another agency? ANSWER

Can a licensing agency provide information on Criminal Records checks to the applicant? ANSWER

 

Employee Issues
Where would one find the "positions designated by law as positions of trust or responsibility" as referenced in Section 435.04(1), Florida Statutes? How would someone determine if a given position met this category if not obvious (such as foster parent or case manager)? What about administrative and managerial positions? ANSWER
Can someone who works in child welfare be licensed as a foster parent? ANSWER

 

Forms

The DCF Standard Contract Section M, Civil Rights Requirements, Item 2 states, “To complete the Civil Rights Compliance Questionnaire, CF Forms 946 A and B, in accordance with 60-16.  This is binding upon providers that have fifteen (15) or more employees.”  There is no form 946 A and 946 B.  Which form should be used to maintain compliance? Foster Home Licensing

When completing a family foster home licensing study is there a requirement that the licensing agency conduct an on-site assessment of the home as a part of the approval process? ANSWER
