It’s Back to School Time in Florida

""

School starts early this year in many Florida districts, due to a new state law that allows an earlier opening day. Forty of Florida’s 67 school districts will begin school on August 10th.

In preparation for the start of the 2018-19 school year the Annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will run from Friday, August 3rd - Sunday, August 5th. During this period, qualifying items will be exempt from tax including: certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item; and clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item.
