v  During the month of November we celebrate National Adoption Month featuring “30 Days of Amazing Children.” This campaign run jointly by the Governor’s Office of Adoption and Child Welfare and the Florida Department of Children and Families throughout the month of November and introduces Florida families to adoption and the children available for adoption using their own stories. At any given time as many as 800 children are available for adoption, and there is a particular need for adoptive homes for teens, sibling groups, and special needs children. Our Voices, Our Stories

v  Juan’s Story

Florida's Children First and Florida Youth SHINE are so excited to share Juan’s digital story this week. Juan’s story is about his brother taking him in when he was taken away from his father, and the positive experience he had being placed with a relative. We hope that Juan’s story educates you on the importance of relative caregivers, as well as the reality that some young adults are willing to step up to care for their siblings. Please click here watch his story and see a special message from Juan.
