Adam Walsh State Contacts

and Procedures for Child Abuse Registry Checks

Tell Us How We’re Doing!

The Adam Walsh Safety Act of 2006 requires out of state abuse checks for individuals who have applied to become foster or adoptive parents and have resided in another state within the last five years.  The Center has compiled an updated contact list of all State Abuse Registries and information about their processes for obtaining these checks. This can be accessed by clicking the link below or under ‘Investigations’ in the ‘Services’ menu on www.centerforchildwelfare.org.

The Center is continuously striving to better serve your needs. Reflecting on your personal experience using the Center’s Web Services, please respond to our monthly survey.
