New Policy Memorandums

  

®    Breach of Confidentiality- No Established Business Need

The purpose of this memo is to remind staff that it is inappropriate to access the Florida’s Safe Family
Network (FSFN) or any other supporting or ancillary computer programs or records containing
confidential information unless there is a clearly established business need.  

®    Use of Assessments by Child Protective Investigators

The purpose of this memo is to reinforce the use of professional assessments by child protective
investigators during the course of an investigation prior to the completion of a Family Functioning
Assessment (FFA).

®    Regional Training: 2015 Child Welfare Regional Training Institutes. Various dates/locations, Jan - March, 2015.  The purpose of the trainings are to enhance collaboration between certified domestic violence centers and child welfare agencies, to build the capacity of child welfare and partnering agencies to assess for domestic violence, to partner with domestic violence survivors to achieve child safety, and to appropriately safety plan with families experiencing domestic violence that are involved in the child welfare system.
